Jasper is $69 a month for one person and Copy.ai is $29 a month for five, so on a published price list Copy.ai is cheaper at every team size from one to five. Above five seats the picture flips into two different kinds of expensive: Copy.ai jumps to $1,000 a month on a yearly contract, and Jasper stops publishing a price at the second seat. Which one costs less for your team depends almost entirely on how many people need a login.

Both sets of numbers below come from the vendors' own pricing pages. That matters more than usual here, because several comparisons ranking for this search still quote a $39 or $49 Jasper Creator plan and a $49 Copy.ai Pro plan. Neither is on sale.

Jasper vs Copy.ai pricing at a glance

Jasper Pro Jasper Business Copy.ai Chat Copy.ai Growth
Billed monthly $69 a seat Quote $29 Not offered
Billed yearly $59 a seat ($708 a year) Quote $24 a month ($288 a year) $1,000 a month ($12,000 a year)

Copy.ai also sells Expansion at $2,000 a month for 150 seats and 45,000 credits, and Scale at $3,000 a month for 200 seats and 75,000 credits, both yearly only. Jasper has nothing published above Pro.

Is Copy.ai cheaper than Jasper?

Yes, Copy.ai is cheaper than Jasper for any team of one to five people. Copy.ai Chat costs $29 a month and includes five seats, which is $5.80 a seat. Jasper Pro costs $69 a month for a single seat. Over a year on annual billing, that is $288 for five people against $708 for one.

The gap is wide enough that it is worth asking what the $29 leaves out. Copy.ai Chat is a chat workspace with unlimited words and a choice of models. The automated workflows that Copy.ai markets to sales and marketing teams run on credits, and the pricing page does not list a credit allowance on Chat. Jasper Pro, for its part, includes the Canvas editor, image generation and marketing agents in the seat price. So the cheap plan and the expensive plan are not the same product at two prices. One is a shared chat tool. The other is a single writer's workstation.

What each one costs by team size

This is the table most comparisons skip, and it is the one that decides the purchase.

People who need a login Jasper, per month Copy.ai, per month Cheaper on a published price
1 $69 (or $59 yearly) $29 (or $24 yearly) Copy.ai
2 Business quote $29 Copy.ai
5 Business quote $29 Copy.ai
6 Business quote $1,000, yearly only Neither is cheap
20 Business quote $1,000, yearly only Depends on the quote
75 Business quote $1,000, yearly only Likely Copy.ai

Two cliffs show up. On Jasper it arrives at the second person. The pricing page says that anyone who needs more than one user on Pro should contact sales for a Business plan, and Business starts with a 12 month commitment. On Copy.ai it arrives at the sixth person, when $29 becomes $1,000. That is a 34 times step with nothing between, and the sixth seat alone costs $971 a month more than the fifth.

Neither vendor sells a plan for a team of six to fifteen at a price in the low hundreds. If that is your team, you are either overbuying Copy.ai Growth, negotiating with Jasper sales or leaving people without a login.

How much does Jasper Business cost?

Jasper does not publish a Business price. Third party reports in 2026 put it anywhere from $500 to $2,000 or more a month in one guide, and $200 to $500 or more per seat in another. Those estimates do not agree with each other, and neither comes from Jasper, so use them only to sanity check a quote.

What Jasper does publish is what Business adds: unlimited Brand Voices and knowledge assets, a custom agent builder, API access, single sign on and admin controls. Some of it, including the GEO Hub and agents, draws on credits that sit next to the seat price. Ask for the seat rate and the credit allowance as two separate lines. Our Jasper AI pricing breakdown covers the plan limits in full.

How do Copy.ai workflow credits work?

Copy.ai workflow credits pay for automated, multi step runs, and the cost of a run is not fixed. The pricing page says a credit's value depends on the complexity of the task and that each run may use a different number of credits, shown after the fact as credits used. Growth includes 20,000 a month.

That makes the $1,000 plan hard to budget from the outside. Twenty thousand credits could be thousands of simple runs or far fewer heavy ones. Before signing a yearly contract, run your three most common workflows in a trial workspace, note the credits each one consumed, and multiply by your real monthly volume. If the answer lands above 20,000, you are pricing Expansion at $24,000 a year, not Growth at $12,000.

Which is better for a small marketing team?

For a small marketing team of two to five, Copy.ai Chat is the better buy on price, at $29 a month for everyone. Jasper is the better buy only when one person does nearly all the writing and needs a stored brand voice, an editor and image tools in one place. A five person team cannot buy Jasper without a sales call.

Price is not the only filter, though. Three questions sort most teams quickly.

How many brands do you write for? Jasper Pro holds 2 Brand Voices. An agency or a company with several product lines runs out fast, and the fix is Business. Copy.ai does not publish a comparable limit on Chat.

Do you write, or do you run processes? Jasper is built around a person producing a document. Copy.ai's paid tiers are built around workflows that run without one. If nobody on the team wants to design workflows, the Growth plan's main feature goes unused.

Can you sign for a year? Both vendors want 12 months once you leave the entry plan. If you do, keep the renewal date and the notice period somewhere that will remind you, because a yearly contract that renews unnoticed commits you to a second $12,000.

The gap neither one fills

Look again at the team size table. One to five people are well served by Copy.ai at $29. Seventy five people are well served by a $1,000 plan or a negotiated Jasper contract. The team of three to fifteen that wants a published, month to month price for planned marketing content has no row.

That is the gap AutoMarketer's plans are priced for, and it is a different kind of product, so compare with care. It is not a chat workspace and not a workflow builder. It reads your website, builds a keyword plan, drafts the SEO pages and social posts, and queues them for approval. You export and publish from your own accounts.

Plan Monthly price Seats Drafted assets a month
Starter $49 1 30
Growth $149 3 150
Scale $399 5 600
Agency $899 15 Fair use

A three person team pays $149 a month with no annual commitment. A fifteen person agency pays $899 against Copy.ai's $1,000 on a yearly contract. Where it loses is just as clear: five people who only need a shared chat tool should pay Copy.ai $29 and stop reading, and a writer who wants an editor should buy Jasper Pro.

So which should you buy?

  • One writer, one brand, wants an editor: Jasper Pro at $59 to $69 a month.
  • Two to five people who want a shared AI chat workspace: Copy.ai Chat at $24 to $29 a month.
  • A go to market team ready to build automated workflows and sign for a year: Copy.ai Growth at $12,000 a year, after testing credit use.
  • A larger team that needs single sign on, an API and unlimited brand voices: Jasper Business, with the seat rate and credits quoted separately.
  • Three to fifteen people who need marketing content planned and drafted on a published monthly price: AutoMarketer Growth, Scale or Agency.
