Brevo Pricing 2026: Free Plan Limits, All Brevo Plans and Brevo Cost per Month

Brevo rebuilt its plan ladder and most of the pricing guides you will find still describe the old one, right down to a Business plan that Brevo no longer sells. Here is the current ladder in US dollars, what the free plan really allows, and the seat rule that decides this purchase far more often than send volume does.

The short answer · Last updated September 2026

Brevo costs $9 a month for Starter and $18 a month for Standard, with Professional at $499 and a free plan that sends 300 emails a day. Brevo bills on emails sent rather than contacts stored, so growing your list does not raise the price, sending more does. Two things catch buyers out: Standard includes one user and reaches three only through a paid add-on, and the next tier above it costs 27.7 times more. AutoMarketer is not an email sender and does not replace Brevo. It writes the campaigns, plus your SEO, social and ad copy, on flat plans from $49 a month.

What you get

The Business plan most guides price does not exist

Brevo sells Free, Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise. There is no Business plan on brevo.com today. Standard is the tier that took its place and Professional is new above it. Pricing articles published as recently as August 2026 are still quoting Business, which means they were not rechecked, which means their numbers should not be trusted either.

The real cliff is seats, not send volume

Standard at $18 a month includes a single user and tops out at three through a paid add-on. The next plan that includes multi-user access is Professional at $499 with ten seats. For a four person marketing team, the price of the fourth login is $481 a month. Nothing on the pricing page frames it that way.

Removing the logo costs more than escaping it

Brevo prices its Remove Brevo branding add-on at 8.10 euros a month against a 7 euro Starter plan, on the euro pricing page we measured. Starter plus that add-on lands above Standard, and Standard includes branding removal outright plus marketing automation, A/B testing, send time optimization and a landing page. Buying the add-on on Starter is a strictly worse deal than upgrading.

Billed on emails sent, not contacts stored

This is the genuinely unusual thing about Brevo and it cuts both ways. A 40,000 person list you email once a month is cheap here and expensive on a subscriber priced tool. A 2,000 person list you email daily is the reverse. Your monthly send count, campaigns and transactional together, is the number that sets your bill.

The CRM arrives as a second invoice

Brevo sales packages are priced separately from the marketing plan and charged per seat. Sales Free is limited to 50 open deals. The tiers a working sales team would use are listed at 26.08 and 53.08 euros per seat per month, on top of whatever you already pay for email. All in one is accurate about the login, not about the invoice.

Flat pricing on our side of the table

AutoMarketer is $49 a month at Starter and $149 at Growth, or $39 and $119 billed annually, and the number does not move when your sends or your list grow, because we are metering neither. We are also not sending your email, which is the honest limit of this comparison. Brevo sends. We write what gets sent.

How it works

01

Count monthly emails, not contacts

Add every campaign send to every transactional send: password resets, receipts, shipping notices, form confirmations. Brevo meters both against the same allowance, and transactional traffic is what quietly pushes accounts past a tier.

02

Count the people who need a login

Do this before you look at volume, because it changes the answer more often. One person is fine on Starter or Standard. Two or three means budgeting the Standard user add-on. Four or more means Professional at $499 and there is no middle step.

03

Price the add-ons you will actually buy

Branding removal if you are on Starter, SMS or WhatsApp credits sold separately by destination country, a dedicated IP if your volume justifies one, and a sales seat for anyone who needs the CRM. None of these are in the headline price.

04

Put both vendors on the same billing frequency

Brevo publishes annual totals of $96.96 for Starter, $194.04 for Standard and $5,388.96 for Professional, which work out to $8.08, $16.17 and $449.08 a month. Compare those against another vendor annual rate, never against its monthly one.

Who it is for

A large list you email occasionally

This is where Brevo pricing model pays off hardest. Fifty thousand contacts emailed twice a month is 100,000 sends, which sits inside Standard. The same list on a subscriber priced tool is a several hundred dollar a month bill before you have sent anything.

A small list you email constantly

The model works against you here. Three thousand readers emailed daily is roughly 90,000 sends a month, which prices like a large account even though the list is small. A subscriber priced tool with generous send limits is usually cheaper for a daily newsletter.

A team of three or more sharing an account

Check the seat table before anything else. Brevo Standard is built for one person, stretches to three, and then hands you a $499 invoice. Several cheaper competitors include three seats on their entry paid plan without an add-on.

Paying for a sending platform that sits idle

The automations are built, the deliverability is fine, and nothing went out last month because nobody wrote it. That is a content problem, not a platform problem, and changing email vendors will not touch it.

How much does Brevo cost?

Brevo costs $9 a month for the Starter plan and $18 a month for Standard, billed monthly. Professional is $499 a month and Enterprise is quoted. The free plan costs nothing and lets you send 300 emails a day. Those figures come from the pricing data Brevo publishes on its own pricing page in US dollars, read on 7 September 2026.

Paying for a year up front takes about ten percent off. Brevo lists annual totals of $96.96 for Starter, $194.04 for Standard and $5,388.96 for Professional, which come out to $8.08, $16.17 and $449.08 a month. Those are the numbers to use if you are comparing Brevo against another vendor annual rate, because putting one vendor annual price next to another vendor monthly price is how most published comparisons reach the wrong conclusion.

The headline is simple. The reason this page runs long is that almost everything else about Brevo pricing has changed, and the pages ranking for this query have not caught up.

What Starter buys you over the free plan is mostly the removal of the 300 a day cap. You get the drag and drop editor, templates, an AI copy assistant, advanced segmentation, forms, basic reporting and email support. The Brevo footer stays on your emails unless you pay to remove it.

Standard is where the product becomes a marketing platform rather than a sending tool. It adds marketing automation with unlimited multi step workflows, A/B testing, advanced email reporting with click heatmaps and geography and device breakdowns, AI send time optimization, web and event tracking, one landing page, and footer removal at no extra charge.

Professional adds WhatsApp campaigns, popups, mobile and web push, contact scoring including RFM and lifetime value, AI segmentation, an AI data analyst, advanced ecommerce features, phone support, three hours a year of deliverability specialist time, and ten user seats. Enterprise adds multi account management, custom objects, a loyalty engine, mobile wallet, custom data integrations, a dedicated IP, SSO and SAML, and a customer success manager.

What happened to the Brevo Business plan?

It is not on brevo.com any more. The plans Brevo sells today are Free, Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise. Standard sits where Business used to, and Professional is a new tier above it.

This matters because of how much published content still prices the old ladder. Pricing guides dated as recently as August 2026 walk you through a Brevo Business plan with a volume ladder attached to it, right at the top of the results for this query. Some of those tables are internally inconsistent as well, quoting one Starter price in the prose and a different one in the table on the same page.

The practical advice is blunt: if a page tells you about a Brevo Business plan, close it. Not because the writer was careless in one place, but because a stale plan name means nobody rechecked the source, and the volume numbers on the same page came from the same unchecked pass. We ran into the same disagreement while researching this article. Three widely cited trackers give three different prices for Brevo at 100,000 monthly emails. Rather than pick one and present it as fact, we are telling you to price your own volume in the configurator on brevo.com, because that is the only number that is definitely current.

Is Brevo free?

Yes, permanently, and the free plan is more useful than most. No credit card is required to create an account. The limit is 300 emails a day, which works out to roughly 9,000 a month, and Brevo does not cap how many contacts you store.

Free planWhat you get
Daily send limit300 emails a day, about 9,000 a month
Contacts storedNot the limiting factor, sending is
UsersSingle user
Marketing automationIncluded, limited to 2,000 contacts
Transactional emailIncluded, SMTP and API
Brevo footerPresent, cannot be removed on the free plan
Credit card at signupNot required

Storing contacts for free while metering sends is the opposite of how Mailchimp, MailerLite, Flodesk and Kit all work, and for a certain kind of business it is a real advantage. If you have spent three years collecting 30,000 addresses and you email them twice a year, every subscriber priced tool wants hundreds of dollars a month to hold a list that is mostly dormant. Brevo will hold it for nothing and charge you only in the months you actually send.

The free plan also includes marketing automation, which several competitors gate behind a paid tier, though it is capped at 2,000 contacts. What you cannot do for free is remove the Brevo footer, add a second user, or send more than 300 emails in a day. That daily cap is a harder constraint than it looks: it is a daily limit, not a monthly one, so a single campaign to 1,500 people cannot go out in one day regardless of how little you sent the rest of the month.

Does Brevo charge per contact or per email?

Per email. Brevo meters the emails you send in a month, campaigns and transactional traffic counted together, and does not bill you for the size of your contact database. This is the defining feature of Brevo pricing and it is the reason the tool is either obviously right or obviously wrong for a given business.

Work out your monthly send volume with one multiplication. Take the number of people you email and multiply by how many emails each of them gets in a month, then add your transactional traffic on top. That product, not your list size, is your Brevo bill.

ScenarioListSends a monthBrevo plan needed
Quarterly newsletter40,000About 13,000Starter
Weekly newsletter10,000About 43,000Starter
Weekly newsletter50,000About 215,000Standard
Daily newsletter3,000About 90,000Starter, near the ceiling
Ecommerce with receipts15,00060,000 plus transactionalStarter to Standard

Two things fall out of that table. First, a 40,000 person list on a quarterly send is a $9 a month account here and a several hundred dollar a month account almost anywhere else. Second, the daily newsletter with only 3,000 readers burns through more allowance than the weekly newsletter with 10,000, which is exactly backwards from how every subscriber priced competitor would bill it.

The trap is transactional volume. Order confirmations, shipping notices, password resets and form receipts all count against the same allowance. An ecommerce store with a modest list and busy checkout can spend most of its plan on emails no marketer ever wrote. Count those before you pick a tier.

How many users do you get on Brevo?

One, on everything up to and including Standard, with an add-on that takes Standard as far as three. Professional includes ten. There is nothing in between.

PlanPriceUsersCost of the next seat
Free$0Single userUpgrade required
Starter$9Single userUpgrade required
Standard$18Up to 3 with add-onAdd-on pricing
Professional$49910 includedIncluded

Read the fourth row against the third. A team of three can run on Standard for $18 a month plus the seat add-on. The moment a fourth person needs a login, the only plan that offers one is Professional, and Professional is $499. The fourth seat costs $481 a month more than the third.

That is 27.7 times the price of the plan below it. Across the vendors we have priced in this series, adjacent plans usually sit somewhere between 1.2 and 2.2 times apart. ActiveCampaign moves about 1.7 times between its main tiers. MailerLite Power is 1.22 to 2.08 times Comfort depending on list size. A 27.7 times step is not a pricing tier, it is a wall, and it is not sitting where the marketing suggests. Brevo positions Professional around AI, data and multichannel reach. In practice the thing most teams hit it for is a fourth login.

So do the seat count first. If four or more people touch your email, Brevo is a $499 a month product for you and should be compared against products in that bracket, not against the $18 that appears in every headline.

The costs that are not in the headline price

Brevo says there are no hidden fees, and that is fair as far as it goes: nothing is charged without you choosing it. But several things people assume are included are sold separately.

ItemHow it is charged
Remove Brevo brandingAdd-on on Starter, listed at 8.10 euros a month. Included from Standard up
Extra users on StandardPaid add-on, ceiling of 3
SMS campaignsCredits sold separately, priced by volume and destination country
WhatsApp campaignsProfessional and above, messaging priced by country
Dedicated IPAdd-on
Sales platform, paid tiersSeparate per seat subscription, listed at 26.08 and 53.08 euros per seat a month

The branding add-on deserves a closer look because the arithmetic is genuinely strange. On the euro pricing page we measured, Starter is 7 euros, the branding removal add-on is 8.10 euros, and Standard is 15 euros. The add-on costs more than the plan it attaches to, and Starter plus the add-on comes to 15.10 euros, which is more than Standard. Standard includes footer removal anyway, along with marketing automation, A/B testing, send time optimization and a landing page. There is no configuration in which buying that add-on on Starter is the right move. If the Brevo footer is your problem, the answer is Standard.

The sales platform is the other line people miss. Brevo is marketed as an all in one customer platform with a CRM, and there is a genuinely free CRM tier, but it is limited to 50 open deals with one seat. A sales team of any size is looking at a second per seat subscription running alongside the marketing plan. Add it to the budget before you compare Brevo against a tool that bundles its CRM.

Brevo transactional email and SMS pricing

Transactional email is included on every plan, free tier included, through both SMTP and a REST API, with unlimited log retention. That is more generous than it sounds. Several competitors treat transactional sending as a separate product with its own subscription, and a few do not offer it at all. If you need both a newsletter tool and a reliable way to send receipts from your application, Brevo covering both under one allowance is a real reason to shortlist it.

The counterpoint is the one from earlier: shared allowance means shared risk. A traffic spike that generates 20,000 order confirmations eats the same budget your campaigns run on.

SMS works differently again. It is not included in any plan. You buy credits, and the rate depends on message volume and the destination country, so there is no single figure that applies to every US account. WhatsApp is the same model with an extra restriction: it is gated to Professional and above. If SMS or WhatsApp is central to your plan rather than occasional, price the credits with Brevo directly, because that spend can easily exceed the subscription.

Brevo also sells pay as you go email credits outside the subscription model. Credits do not expire, one email deducts one credit, and phone support is excluded. For an organization that sends in bursts a few times a year, that is often cheaper than carrying a monthly plan.

Where Brevo wins and loses on price

Brevo wins clearly when your list is large relative to how often you email it. Nonprofits with big donor files, B2B companies with years of accumulated contacts, seasonal businesses, anyone running a quarterly or monthly send to tens of thousands of people. In those cases the saving against a subscriber priced tool is not marginal, it is most of the bill.

It wins again when you need transactional email and marketing email from the same account, and when you want real marketing automation on a free or near free plan.

Brevo loses when you send often to a small list, because your bill tracks volume and volume is what a daily or thrice weekly newsletter produces. It loses when more than three people need access, for the reasons above. And it loses on predictability: a subscriber priced tool gives you a number that only changes when your list grows, while a send priced tool gives you a number that changes with every campaign decision you make. For a business that wants a fixed marketing line in the budget, that variability has a real cost even when the average is lower.

Is Brevo good value in 2026?

At the bottom of the ladder, yes, and it is not close. Nine dollars a month for 100,000 sends with unlimited contacts, transactional email included and no credit card needed to start is the best entry level offer in mainstream email marketing right now. For a solo operator or a small business with one person running email, Brevo is very hard to beat on price.

The honest caveat is that the value collapses as soon as the shape of your business changes in one specific way. Add a fourth person to the team and the same product costs $499. That is not a criticism of the software, which is good, but it is a planning risk worth naming out loud, because it does not appear anywhere in the way Brevo presents its plans and it does not appear in the comparison articles either.

Price it on the current ladder rather than on its reputation, count your seats before you count your sends, and remember that the guides still selling you a Business plan are describing a product Brevo stopped offering.

One last thing worth separating. If the reason you are shopping for an email platform is that the campaigns are not going out, changing vendors will not fix that, because the missing piece is the writing rather than the sending. That is the gap AutoMarketer fills, and the limit of it is worth stating plainly: we generate the campaigns, the SEO content, the social posts and the ad copy from your website on flat plans that start at $49 a month, and we do not send email. You still need a sender. On the numbers above, Brevo is a good one.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Brevo cost per month?

Brevo costs $9 a month for Starter and $18 a month for Standard on monthly billing, with Professional at $499 and Enterprise quoted. Annual billing brings those to $8.08, $16.17 and $449.08 a month, billed as totals of $96.96, $194.04 and $5,388.96. The free plan costs nothing and sends 300 emails a day.

Is Brevo free?

Yes. Brevo has a permanent free plan with no credit card required at signup. It allows 300 emails a day, which is roughly 9,000 a month, carries Brevo branding in the email footer, is limited to a single user, and caps marketing automation at 2,000 contacts. Contact storage is not what the free plan limits, sending is.

What happened to the Brevo Business plan?

Brevo no longer lists a Business plan. The live ladder on brevo.com is Free, Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise, with Standard occupying the position Business used to hold and Professional sitting above it at $499. If a comparison article prices a Brevo Business plan, it is describing a plan you cannot buy today.

Does Brevo charge per contact?

No. Brevo bills on the number of emails you send in a month, campaigns and transactional combined, not on how many contacts you store. That makes it unusually cheap for a big list you email rarely and unusually expensive for a small list you email daily. It is the single biggest difference between Brevo and tools like Mailchimp or MailerLite.

How many users can you have on Brevo?

Free and Starter are single user plans. Standard reaches up to three users through a paid add-on. Professional includes ten seats and Enterprise is unlimited. This matters more than most buyers expect: the jump from a three person team to a four person team means moving from $18 a month to $499 a month, because there is no tier in between.

How much is Brevo for 100,000 emails a month?

One hundred thousand monthly emails is the top of the Starter plan and sits comfortably inside Standard. Brevo does not publish a public per tier ladder above its entry prices, and the third party pricing tables that do publish one disagree with each other by tens of dollars at this volume, so price it in the plan configurator on brevo.com rather than trusting a table.

Does Brevo have a free trial?

Brevo does not run a conventional time limited trial because it does not need one. Every account starts on the permanent free plan, so you can build lists, design campaigns and send 300 emails a day indefinitely without paying. You upgrade when the daily sending cap or the Brevo footer becomes the problem, not when a countdown ends.

What is the difference between Brevo Starter and Standard?

Standard adds marketing automation with unlimited workflows, A/B testing, advanced email reporting with click heatmaps and geography and device breakdowns, AI send time optimization, web and event tracking, one landing page, and removal of the Brevo footer. It also raises the send ceiling from 100,000 to 500,000 emails a month and allows up to three users.

How do I remove the Brevo logo from my emails?

Standard and above include footer removal at no extra charge. On Starter it is a paid add-on, listed at 8.10 euros a month on the euro pricing page. Because Starter is 7 euros and Standard is 15 euros there, buying the add-on costs more than upgrading to the plan that includes it along with automation and A/B testing. Upgrade instead.

Is the Brevo CRM included in the price?

Only the free version. Brevo sales packages are a separate per seat subscription on top of your marketing plan. Sales Free includes one seat and is limited to 50 open deals. The paid tiers are listed at 26.08 and 53.08 euros per seat per month. If the CRM is the reason you are considering Brevo, add that line to your budget.

Does Brevo charge extra for transactional email?

No, and this is one of the better parts of the deal. Every Brevo plan includes transactional email through SMTP and a REST API with unlimited log retention. The catch is that transactional sends count against the same monthly email allowance as your marketing campaigns, so a busy ecommerce store can consume its plan on receipts alone.

How much does Brevo SMS cost?

SMS is not included in any plan. Credits are sold separately and priced by message volume and destination country, so there is no single US rate that applies to every account. The same applies to WhatsApp campaigns, which are additionally gated to the Professional plan and above rather than being available at every tier.
